Waite Sterilizer Jar

The jar held a sterilizing solution, such as alcohol, in which dental instruments would be immersed to kill bacteria and prevent the spread of infection. Typically made of heavy, clear glass, the jars often featured a removable inner tray or basket.

Embossed with the name "Waite”, it was manufactured by Cook-Waite Laboratories, prominent dental and pharmaceutical supply company known for producing various dental products, including anesthetics.
